RE-DISCOVERING VERONICA
This is not the first time that I’ve written about Veronica. The first time was in 2006 in the July/Sept. issue of the Open Door, but her profile is worth the telling again because she has made remarkable changes in both her lifestyle and her connection to the A.R.E. New York Center. For one thing, according to the New York Center’s director, Zachary Feder, “Veronica has been a tremendous help to The Center. She is not only efficient but full of light.” With Feder’s accolade and according to the opinion of others, Veronica is a ‘do everything’ kind of volunteer and as such is invaluable to The Center’s daily operations . She pitches in when the need emerges and has made many friends. Veronica says, “Since Zachary took over I have become the ‘go-to-person’ for the Program Committee. My role is to gather all the information about the speakers and get that information ready and organized for Zachary to approve and send it to the printer. I am also in charge of the Psychic and Health Fairs.” The meteoric rise in her personal life is quite interesting, too.
Veronica recalls: “My life has changed dramatically since I first set foot in The New York Center in 2004. At the time I was single, boyfriend-less and trying to be an actor. Now I have developed into a much more mature, happier and centered women who has finally found her place in the world.” Part of finding her place in the world happened serendipitously when she took the course “Psychic Development’ with Coni Buro, and Veronica was asked by Lynne Micelli to be part of the program committee. In her own words she says, “It’s been quite a journey since then.”
A MOVER AND MOTIVATOR
So where is Veronica today? She has learned to trust her abilities and has developed skills as an ‘Intuitive.’ She proudly adds, “Thanks to all the amazing help and support from all my friends and colleagues in the center I have now opened my own practice as a Channeler and Energy Healer. I have been teaching classes in Intuition-Tarot and Self Development in the Tri-State area as well as at the New York Center. Gaining recognition in different disciplines Veronica has been asked to speak on October 4th at the Women & Men’s Embracing Their Greatness at the Holistic Health Conference at the Bridgewater Hilton Garden in Bridgewater, New Jersey and in November she will speak at the Raven Heart Spiritual retreat for women in Bangor, Pennsylvania. Adding to these speaking commitments Veronica is also an ordained minister with The Universal Life Church and is a wedding officiant for the State of New York. At the A.R.E. bookstore you can also find Veronica’s holistic products as well as her Meditation CD. She admits, “I owe much of my success and happiness to the A.R.E. and the beautiful souls that run it.”
Seems like life is showering Veronica with heaps of positivity. “I am now happily married to my wonderful husband, William Figueroa, whom I met in May 2003, when we were both managers in a New York Health & Racquet Club. In her own words Veronica says, “We did not necessarily get along at first. We were both stubborn and have different points of view, however, our love merged and the wedding took place in New York as William is from Queens. However, we are planning a real big wedding for my family and friends in Argentina. I wrote the ceremony script and Alex Santiago, an excellent Astrologer and friend, who has been working at the A.R.E. bookstore for the past 4 years, conducted the ceremony. “ Veronica acknowledges that , “William is not involved with the A.R.E., but he is very supportive of my work there.” For readers who remember, Veronica is the former Veronica Moya.
About the New York Center she adds, “I have created beautiful friendships and lasting relationships with the staff and members. We have a little group and we made it a tradition to celebrate all our Leo birthdays together in the month of August. Lenny, Coni and I are Leos and proud of it! Every year with have our Leo dinner. This year we went ice skating.
THANK YOU Veronica for your great spirit of humanitarianism and for contributing in so many volunteer areas, which have enriched the successful path of the A.R.E. New York Center.
